The Buzzard Tactical-bomber is a simple but superb design. It's large airfoil allows for only modest anti-gravity engines in denser atmospheres although this same feature reduces it's inter-planetary travel-efficiency. It can carry a modest but effective weapons load and is designed to cruise at higher altitude to avoid ground-fire.
However, it's one-man crew and lack of defensive armament leaves it vulnerable against sophisticated adversaries such as the IDC and IKA.

The Buzzard has been employed since the height of Earth Government control throughout the galaxy. It was designed as a cheap way of delivering bombs to the poorly defended breakaway planets. In more recent times, many have been absorbed into the private armies of the warlords and even, by the IKA and IDC.
