Manned mechanoids were developed by EarthLab (Corp.) on a commercial basis and have been sold throughout the galaxy. They were initially used for agriculture and as fast transport on planets where thin atmosphere but high gravity limited the efficiency of anti-gravity engines (as in hover-speeders). They were soon adapted to paramilitary roles armed with low tech weapons.
The Cougar has good armour and impressive (if limited) firepower in it's assault rockets. The Blaster-cannon are good all-round but it lacks any air-defences.

Manned Mechs such as the Cougar are a favourite status-symbol of the aspiring warlords, although they are not as effective as the automated mechdroids.

The mech will use essentially an 'infantry' engine but is designed to be used as the INI code basis of any modded walkers.
