The Gnat Pursuit airspeeder (fighter/interceptor) is very much in the mould of the TIE fighter. A small airframe lends itself to speed and agility in all atmospheres.
The pilot is seated in a small armoured pod to the port of the main airfoil. The baseline model has a single blaster-cannon mounted on a fixed arm on the starboard side. This is fed by powerful recharging generators in the region of 5000kw. Of course, many sub-variants are possible with missiles, special function-ordnance etc. A two-seat training version was also manufactured.

The unit is intended to implement several important INI codes and game-engine functions:
-The unit will align with the target before firing

-Because it flies at the target, it will have to automatically disengage to avoid colliding if the target remains intact.
-The unit will have to loiter on-station rather than land. This will involve flying around in circles until a target comes into range or it is directed to move.
-The unit will bank noticeably as it turns.
