The Javelin is a
relatively old design but it has benefited from
continuous upgrade. The baseline model has an internal
bay for 3 low-emission hydrogen/plasma compound nuclear
bombs. There are several more advanced specialist
versions including a 'Pathfinder' suppression of
air-defences version with extra sensors and 2 Advanced
'SAM-Eater' missiles.
The Javelin is rather slow and cumbersome, being intended
for carpet-bombing. This makes it vulnerable to ground
fire and enemy fighters. |
