The SAM-Crawler is a heavy air-defence system designed for strategic defence. It has excellent range, hit-probability and firepower but a slow rate of fire and poor mobility -restricting it's battlefield use. The search radar is mounted forward over the crew compartment and has 360degrees scan. The system has a multitude of support sensors aiding targeting including enemy communications broadcast monitoring and passive electromagnetic signature recognition.

The powerful (heat emitting) generator and active radar transmissions prevent any effective camouflage/stealthiness. However, the unit can guard high value targets from air-attack and even intercept some missiles.

The unit is designed to implement several useful bits of code and INI. It will have a minimum as well as maximum range and it's 'radar' turret will spin during inactivity and then 'lock' onto the target.
